It Looked Like Spilled Milk Kindergarten and First Grade
We read the book It looked Like Spilled Milk and then drew inspiration of our crazy line shapes. The goal was to turn the shape into a spilled milk creature.
First Grade Arts Integration
Science and Art are a natural combination when integrating the arts. All first grade classes rotated through the art room to learn about opaque, transparent, translucent and reflective materials. After experimenting with the materials we made Trees of Light inspired by Gustav Klimt's Tree of Life. The tree sculptures used all of the different materials on their tree and finished it off by painting the "ground" with cool or warm watercolors.
Fifth Grade Recess Workers!
These great fifth grade students came in to help make banners for the Stream of Lights Lantern Parade! Couldn't have done it without this crew!
