In preparation for an upcoming poetry unit students created frames and marbleized papers to mount and display their literary works. Some students measured and cut their own frames and then the next step was to glue yarn down to the frame so the final steps would be to place a sheet of foil over the raised yarn and then color the shapes and sections in with colorful Sharpies.
The marbleized papers used watercolor paint on top of shaving cream and then the brush handle was used to pull and swirl the lines of paint creating a marbled effect.
